In this project bid, the primary goal for the home page was to visually highlight the company's services with three pictures, each having it's own descriptive word. On the home page I put the three images in the header so they would stand out by themselves. The images would rotate through after a few seconds or the user could manually rotate through them. The secondary goal for the home page was the company's logo and information, so I put them under the pictures and made sure that Order Today stood out. In the About Us page I put another visual picture in the header and placed the page name vertically so it was a little bit different and so it would stand out. And just like on the home page, I made sure that Order Today stood out. |
In this project bid, the goal of the site was to promote the author's new book and to highlight his previous two books. In this design comp I used the visual imagery of the author's picture and pictures from the covers of his books. I made his new book the primary focus and added two call outs next to it. Below the main pictures I posted reviews, an excerpt from the book, and most important — links (and a call out) to online bookstores so users can easily click to purchase the book. |
In this project bid, the primary goal for the home page was to equally promote the company's services and to highlight the previous projects that they've worked on. On the home page I created two equal sections to highlight the Services and Projects, and within the Projects section, the user can scroll vertically to see all of the projects in the list. Below the main sections I created three more sections of content: recent Press Releases, About Us content, and Contact info. On the About Us page, I placed the secondary navigation close to the page name and I created a visual promo image to promote other content on the site. |

In this design comp I wanted to use the company's logo as a major design piece because of it's unique shape, so I used a large version of the logo and placed all of the contact info inside it. This is a two-sided business card, so all of the contact info is on one side and the logo and company name are on the other side. |
NOI Business Card
Horizontal Design In this design I wanted the contact info to be prominent, so I designed the card so the person's info is in the top left and the logo is in the opposite corner (bottom right). I used the two colors in the logo for the person's name and title to reinforce the brand colors. |
New Mexico for Obama
Home Page: before Election Day | on Election Day Election HQ Page: before Election Day | on Election Day I was the New Media Director in New Mexico for the General Election. I designed promo images, created landing pages, wrote blog articles, and posted video and pictures. I also posted content on 5 social networking sites and wrote copy for weekly statewide emails and text messages. |

FOX Ent. Diversity Dept.
Home Page I was the Web Producer for the Diversity Dept's Web site. As part of the redesign project, I managed a designer, 2 developers, and a video editor. I developed the new information architecture and loaded/formatted the content on each page. The goal of the site was to communicate all of the company's diversity initiatives. |
I designed the user interface, wrote copy, and scheduled the weekly content changes. I also made sure the online portion of the program ran smoothly and was in-sync with the on-air portion. The goal of this site and of the AMW All-Star program was to give the public the opportunity to vote (via Web site and text) for their favorite first responder. There was a financial award for the winner, so everything had to run smoothly. |
I designed the user interface and loaded the content on each page. The goal of the site was to promote the services of the Law Office. |
||
I designed the user interface and created the dual columns as a throw-back to traditional print media. Vincent's People was St. Vincent's online newsletter and was published quarterly. The goal of the site was to give parishioners and the community an opportunity to read the latest articles from the Parish. |
AMW Widget Mega
I was the Producer for AMW's widget. I wrote the specifications document, designed the user interface, and worked with a developer who built the back-end. The purpose of the widget was to serve as a new content delivery channel and the goal was for it to be as interactive as possible. The widget included streaming videos and an interactive map with embedded content, giving the user the opportunity to spend more time using the widget. |

SE7EN DAYS
I designed the user interface, photographed all of the parishioners, and wrote the copy. The goal of SE7EN DAYS was to chronicle different activities and events at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. I took the concept of a day in the life of the Parish and expanded the concept to each day of the week, but over the duration of one month. The horizontal design is meant to correspond with a calendar week.
